Valentine's Day is coming up, and while Tor and I are that kind of couple that believes each day should be Valentine's Day, we can't help but still feel sentimental during the holiday especially with this about to be our first as a married couple.
For most of our relationship (almost seven years!), Tor and I have actually spent our Valentine's Day apart. He is usually abroad filming and I am usually busy at New York Fashion Week. This year, for the first time in a few years, his February is a bit more open (until his schedule picks up again) so I chose to stay behind from New York and spend some romantic, quality time together this Valentine's Day.

It's our first Valentine's Day as husband and wife, and while our first anniversary also quickly approaches (today marks our 10 month anniversary), this past year we have had much to reflect on. Our first year of marriage has been filled with adventure, excitement, and most importantly - love. And while a part of me wishes we were still traveling abroad this month embarking on new adventures together, it'll actually be really nice to settle in our home in Los Angeles together and take it easy.

At the moment, we do not have any specific plans for February 14, especially since we typically have a date night out with just us every week, but I will find any excuse to dress up for a lovely dinner with my husband - even if we are just at home! I originally wore this velvet dress for a friend's birthday dinner in Paris last month, but the minute I saw it I knew it would be perfect for Valentine's Day.

Completely out of the topic, I’m always curious if you have to spend a lot on purchasing clothes as a fashion blogger?
The A List
Hi Lace! In the beginning, yes. To establish myself, I footed the bill for most things. Now I do a healthy mix of purchasing my own pieces and working out collaborations with brands I personally adore and wear myself.

Our first married valentine’s day-Ours was last year, we got married Jan 2016. There’s so much that I relate with in your article. Hubby and I also believe it’s valentine’s day everyday throughout the year. We also have date nights and I emphasise dressing up even if we’re going to be indoors. Though at first he couldn’t understand why, but now he gets it. I’m not one who follows trends,or buys something because it’s the in thing, but those velvet block heels are stunning. I recently got myself a pair of peep toes velvet heels, same colour as yours… :-), absolutely gorgeous.
The A List
Happy belated anniversary!!! I’m glad to see we aren’t the only ones who dress up and have date nights! Gotta keep the romance alive plus it’s fun!
