White overalls scream "summer", so of course those are what I have been living in. I wasn't expecting the weather to be warm enough while we were in Canada, but I brought my summer overalls just in case. Turns out, Canada was quite warm while we were there even by the water. One of my favorite ways to style overalls is with dramatic sleeves (as seen here). From big poofy sleeves to ruffles, I think a little drama is welcome to spruce up a summer look. While lounging around the house, I will wear a simple tee underneath my summer overalls, but as soon as a friend asks to meet up for lunch, I will switch the shirt to something with a bit more flair.

Summer overalls give the illusion of a denim dress, which is probably why I'm not against them. There are many different styles and versions of overalls - long or short, white or black, destroyed or not, fringed or not - but a simple white one has been my favorite this summer.

Summer is still here, and recently I have been wearing my favorite summer overalls while out and about. I know, I know – you’re probably thinking to yourself, “Wait, hold up – Alyssa has a post about overalls?!” It’s true, I wear so many dresses and skirts that it seems impossible to find anything else in my closet. But believe it or not, I’ve actually spent quite a bit of down time in my overalls lately (and both happen to be from Madewell).

So many outfit ideas already coming to mind! I’ve even got a couple in mind for fall already (and boy do I love fall)! You had those cute longer, light blue ones in Napa Valley, wasn’t it? I really loved those 🙂
Hi Halie! Yes I do have longer blue ones and yes I did wear them in Napa. They are also extremely comfortable. I am also currently eyeing a floral pair from Zimmermann!
