It’s officially May! May is probably the most exciting spring month since most flowers are completely in bloom and the sun shines more often. As you can tell by my wardrobe, I’ve been excited to bring out all of my new dresses for the season. While I typically think of florals for spring, this year it’s the spring polka dots that are making a statement.
We all know how much I love dresses, but for a while I was simply NOT a fan of wrap dresses. I felt they didn’t suit my body properly, but that’s probably because I wasn’t finding the right dress. I love wrap dresses that have a lot of fabric simply because the more fabric equals more fun to twirl!
Spring polka dots seem to be a big trend for this season. I’m not complaining because they’re fun! You probably saw this polka dot maxi dress pop up a lot in pics from Coachella a few weeks ago. Had I attended, I most certainly would have brought this dress along. My only tip would be to size up one size if you want more fabric to cover your chest (I had to exchange my original choice for a bigger size seen in these pics). I also LOVE this dress, and this patterned polka dot dress makes me feel happy.
Another MAJOR trend this season (and most likely all year) is the wicker bag! I’m sure you’ve been seeing it everywhere on social media. What’s crazy is I thought I would hate the wicker bag trend, but as it turns out I may be one of its biggest advocates! I think I’ve gone on a wicker bag overhaul already and reached my quota for the year (according to Tor!). I will be doing another post solely about the best wicker bags of the season very, very soon, so stay tuned! For now, head on over to my shop page to see my current favorite wicker bags.
