I don’t know about you, but I’ve been having fun putting together a different fall outfit here and there now that the weather is cooperating a bit more. From velvet pants to cozy sweater cardigans to perfect fall boots, mixing and matching pieces and colors for this season reminds me why I really do love fall.
One thing I like to have plenty of in the house is a good, versatile cardigan. They’re super soft and go with everything, but the perfect cardigan also doesn’t have to break the bank. While I will admit I have a few higher end cardigans in my closet, I do love a good affordable cardigan that’s just as or even more comfortable. I really love this one because of its vintage vibe. I also love this one, especially if you size up for an oversized look (plus it’s under $80!). And to make this the perfect fall outfit, I paired my cardigan with a plaid shirt. As I mentioned in this post, plaid is one of those styles that undoubtedly screams “fall”. I also love this one and this one (both under $50).
I’ll be honest – the last time I owned velvet jeans was when I was 9 years old. I remember they were THE pant to have in school at the time and I had three pairs – camel, red, and purple. Since 90’s fashion has been making a comeback, it’s no surprise that I am seeing velvet jeans pop up more and more especially as we venture into fall and winter weather. Velvet jeans in brown or rust are the perfect color for fall as well and go with any color boot or sweater. I love this one and this one, too.

PLAID SHIRTS AND VELVET PANTS
The perfect fall outfit wouldn’t be complete without boots. I had been searching for the right pair of camel heeled, knee high boots for fall and finally found them. When you find the right pair, they can be worn throughout autumn and winter seasons for years to come. I love these boots, not only because they are the perfect camel color, but they also look so comfortable. I also love these boots and these boots (I have the ankle version of these and love them!). I try not to wear many heeled shoes since I feel like I reached my quota during my former pageant years, but when I do put on some heels I like to make sure they’re just right.
