1. Heeled ankle boots
It's no secret that I absolutely love to wear boots. While lately I find myself grabbing my flat boots, there's something about the autumn season that makes me want to wear a good pair of lace up or button up heeled ankle boots. On days that I choose to wear pants, particularly my skinny jeans, they help give the illusion of an elongated leg. Heeled ankle boots also pair perfectly with mini, midi, or maxi skirts, and this is my favorite time of year to pull out a midi skirt. As far as boots go, I am currently obsessed with this pair that I am wearing in this post. Similar boots can be found here, here, here, and here.2. Olive green midi skirt
Green tends to be one of my go-to colors these days, which works out perfectly since it happens to be a great color for fall. In particular, olive green pairs extremely well with tan, brown, navy, and burgundy, which all are prime autumn colors. With the temperatures beginning to dip, especially at night here in Los Angeles, I tend to grab a good midi skirt to keep my legs warm but keep my outfit feminine. I purchased this skirt back in early summer knowing I wanted to wear it in the autumn season. It has been my favorite and go-to midi skirt ever since autumn began to creep its way in. Similar olive green skirts can be found here, here, and here.3. A statement bag
As summer has come (mostly) to a close, it's time to pack away the rattan and wicker basket bags and bring out my favorite bags for fall. Top handle bags tend to be one of my usual fall wardrobe staples when it comes to statement bags. The top handle gives a "back to work" appeal and adds a hint of sophistication to any fall outfit. I am currently obsessed with this multi-colored bag, as well as my usual top handle bag by Strathberry. I also love this one for business meetings. Similar bags can be found here, here, and here. What are some of your fall wardrobe staples?Photos by Torrance Coombs.
This past weekend, Tor and I escaped to Tennessee for the first time where we had our first taste of fall weather this season. The falling leaves, the cooler temperatures, the scent of bourbon and apple cider in the air, and the sun setting earlier each night – the essence of fall was certainly present. The cooler temperatures were more than welcome, as summer is typically extended into November here in Los Angeles. With that said, I’ve been evaluating what my fall wardrobe staples this season will be.

Tor and I have more travel plans over the next several weeks that’ll take us to places with perfect fall weather. From heeled ankle boots paired with midi skirts and the perfect fall statement bag, I plan on mixing and matching with my favorites all season long. Below are three staples you will not find me without this fall season.
