I actually bought my yellow cardigan from Urban Outfitters back in November of 2014 when we were spending most of our time in Toronto (see post here). I'll be honest... it kind of disappeared into my closet for about two years. But then last year at Christmastime, I brought it back out to wear to a casual dinner with my family in San Francisco. For that dinner, I paired it with a white tank top, jeans, and my Frye riding boots. I had no idea that a year later, the yellow cardigan would make a comeback and be back in style! I actually had a bit of a panic the other day because I thought I had ended up getting rid of it. Phew, I had not! I am also loving this one as it looks so incredibly soft. Pairing plaid with yellow might be one of my favorite fall looks this season, as it obviously screams "fall." As soon as the weather begins to cool down a bit (cough I'd appreciate that any day now cough cough), I will be bringing out this yellow cardigan more and more. I cannot wait to find new pieces to pair yellow with!Photos by Felicia Lasala.
Time for a new post! For those who don’t know, I spent the past two weeks nurturing a foot injury plus my laptop was in repair after I stupidly spilled my water bottle on it, hence the lack of updates. But now we are back on track! It’s been a while since I did an outfit post, so today I am sharing what has been surprisingly popular this fall season – a yellow cardigan! I always thought of yellow as more of a summer color, but these days I am really feeling it for fall. It obviously goes with every fall color you pair it with, and so a yellow cardigan is a great addition to your fall wardrobe.

I was trying to come up with something more elaborate but I just love this look! And your makeup is flawless! And I do love wearing yellow durin autumn too, I think it makes a good transition between hot and cold seasons.
Thank you so much, Victoria!
I have to admit that I struggle with yellow (I don’t believe it even exists in my closet!!) because I’m always hesitant with my lighter skin tone. However seeing you pull off such a bold color so flawlessly I think I might have to give it a go! This outfit looks so absolutely comfortable and the color is the perfect warm shade for this lovely season!!!
I used to struggle with yellow too! For a while, this was my only yellow piece in my closet and then I added two yellow dresses to my wardrobe this summer. It’s definitely bold but so fun!
That Mustard yellow is one of my favourite colours for fall so thank you for providing me with more inspiration on how to incorporate it with my current autumnal wardrobe! I saw your #metoo post on twitter today and I felt that I just had to tell you that you are obviously a very strong woman and an inspiration to me and all your other fans. So thank you for your honesty and inspiration that you give us all!
I’m glad you like mustard yellow for fall too!
And thank you so much. <3
I love that look on you! Yellow looks so pretty on you and I really love the plaid scarf. I unfortunately can’t really pull off yellow, it makes me look HUGE – I prefer black, tbh. 😛 Advice for that at all? Other colors besides black that could be slenderizing?
Thank you! And I personally think green can be slenderizing, especially olive green. 😉
I’m so glad to see you do a post on yellow! It has been my new favorite color this year for fall! I found an adorable mustard vest at a vintage market last month and it’s one of my new favorite pieces! I may be ordering the yellow cardigan with lace up sleeves! I love that you paired your sweater with the pink camisole. I have never been a big fan of yellow until this fall, surprisingly mustard goes with so many fall colors!
It really does! I am glad you are liking yellow this season too!
