Now that summer is almost here, it’s time to show off some gorgeous new patterns! I am loving all the bold summer patterns I have been seeing so far this season. If you’ve been following me on Instagram, you’ve probably already seen that I’ve been embracing bold patterns lately. They’re fun, they’re exciting, and they say, “Hello, summer!”
Last year, I threw in a few patterned pieces here and there but I pretty much stuck to a simple canvas. If you caught my recent post about defining my style, then you’ll know that over the past few months I have been finding myself stepping outside the box. I’ve basically been trying to step outside of my comfort zone and not be afraid to truly be bold.
This upcoming season proves it will be one of the boldest. Bold summer patterns are definitely IN. From florals to stripes to wild patterns, I am positive you’ll be seeing a lot of those this upcoming summer.
One of my favorite bold items this season has been this maxi skirt. I recently wore a dress from the same brand LA Double J in Santa Barbara (the same dress in a different pattern is available here) and after that I knew I had to find another piece of theirs to wear. I am also loving this dress and this skirt, too.
