While I like to get dressed up, sometimes it's just as fun to keep it casual. LA is one of those cities where keeping it casual is quite the norm, but being from New York I like to dress up here and there. With my husband born and raised as a laid-back west coaster, sometimes I like being reminded it's okay to be casual.

One thing I love about dresses so much is you can easily dress them up or down, especially in the summer. I love a dress with versatility. I have found myself wearing this dress a lot this summer and many different ways. With it being sleeveless, I could wear it as it is, or with a cardigan (as I've done here), or with a sweater or top underneath. My favorite way to wear a sleeveless dress is with a cardigan. LA has been enduring a 100-degree heatwave pretty much all summer, but early mornings have been not so hot. Rushing to a morning breakfast date, I love the simplicity of pairing a dress with a cardigan to keep the look laid-back. I have a plethora of dresses in my closet but not too many green ones. The green of this dress is stunning, as are the embroidered flowers. I'll find any excuse to wear a pretty floral dress, even if I am keeping it casual.
