Changing Up My Wardrobe

When you've been blogging for a few years (this month marked four years for me), you start to notice some changes in your style. As new trends come and go, I try to embrace them as best as I can with my own twist. While Tor and I were going through old images back to when I first started blogging and first started photography, it became evident we have come a long way and we aren't finished yet. Two notable changes were Tor's photography skills and my style. Even still, I have found myself changing up my wardrobe yet again over these last few weeks. [gallery link="none" columns="2" size="full" ids="15918,15922"] [gallery link="none" columns="2" size="full" ids="15914,15930"] Alyssa Campanella of The A List blog wears Sezane Theo pants and LPA button up top for changing up my wardrobe [gallery link="none" columns="2" size="full" ids="15932,15933"] [gallery link="none" columns="2" size="full" ids="15927,15919"] Alyssa Campanella of The A List blog wears Sezane Theo pants and LPA button up top for changing up my wardrobe [gallery link="none" columns="2" size="full" ids="15925,15931"] One reason I took time off from posting for two weeks was because I was going through my current wardrobe to see what I could start to move away from and what I could start to embrace. As with most bloggers, I like changing up my wardrobe and having my style to evolve with the blog. I have plans to make The A List more editorial and more "magazine-like", and so my style and photography should reflect that. As I took a look back on my style over the years, there were plenty of "What was I thinking?" moments, even as recent as last year. I also felt like there were so many missed opportunities on how I could have styled myself. But fashion and style are a never-ending learning process. I've been learning to mix different patterns, try more outside-the-box pieces, and pair not-so-obvious colors together. As someone who frequently wears dresses, I have thought about trying to add more of other items in my closet. After this past winter, I now have more coats and sweaters in my closet than a Los Angeles girl should have! But one item I needed more of were pants. I am not someone who typically wears a lot of pants, but I've been wanting to steer away from jeans being my only form of pants in my closet. I've recently added these pants, these pants, and these pants to my wardrobe, and I am very excited on how I will style them over the next little while. As I am changing up my wardrobe, I find myself drawn to pieces I probably would have completely ignored before. I don't think anybody likes using the word "safe" to describe their style, but that's how I feel I was in the beginning of everything. As I continue to learn more about fashion and continue to play around with different trends, I'm feeling even bolder than before. Are you thinking of changing up your wardrobe?

Hi Alyssa! I love your style and how you plan your outfits for the countries you visit! It’s an inspiration! I decided in January time to buy a completely new summer wardrobe! I have left all my old summer wardrobe in storage and have started to pick up new pieces every now and then and items that I would have never looked at before! It’s therapeutic! Your blog has been a great inspiration and I love reading it! All you fashion choices inspire me with mine! I cannot wait to see how your blog further develops in the future!
