Our Finland Itinerary + VLOGS

I am concluding our Finland travel journey with our entire 10-day itinerary across the country! Our Finland itinerary was packed with all kinds of activities and experiences that really showed us the true culture of the Finnish people and their lifestyle. A lot of people were surprised whenever I mentioned that Finland was on my bucket list, and I still can’t even believe I get to say we have been there! This trip was certainly one of our favorites, and we are more than happy to share our itinerary with you to plan your own trip to Finland!

Day 1

Fly in on Finnair and arrive first thing in the morning // Check in at Hotel Lilla Roberts // Take a nap to defeat jet lag or power through with a visit to the Design Museum // Dinner at Juuri

Day 2

Morning visit to the Finnish Museum of Natural History // Walk towards the Helsinki Cathedral and main square // Visit the National Library of Finland // Lunch at Passio // Dessert and hot chocolate at Helkatti Cat Café // Sauna time at Löyly // Dinner at Löyly Restaurant

Day 3

9 am bus to Porvoo/Borgå from Kamppi bus station // Arrive in Porvoo at 10 am // Head to Art Factory and walk through art exhibits // Visit Pieni Suklaatehdas chocolate factory (only open on Fridays) // Lunch at Zum Beispiel // Walk around Old Town and shop in the old shops // Catch the 4 pm bus back to Helsinki // Dinner at Atelje Finne

Day 4

Head to Iittala and Arabia Design Center // Visit the museum on the 9th floor and shop in the main shop downstairs // Go shopping and dining along the Esplanadi // Ride the SkyWheel // Dinner at Restaurant Grön

Day 5

Check out of Hotel Lilla Roberts // Fly to Rovaniemi on Finnair // Check in at Arctic Treehouse Hotel // Private dinner at Laavu

Day 6

Reindeer ride and shaman ceremony at Sieriporo Safaris // Lunch experience with the Guardians of the Forest in Santa Claus Secret Forest // Meet the elves and Santa Claus in the secret forest // Sauna and private dinner experience at Arctic Forest Spa

Day 7

Check out of Arctic Treehouse Hotel // Grab rental car from Sixt at Rovaniemi airport // Drive 2 hours north to Levi // Check in at Levin Iglut // Go sledding or snowshoe walking // Dinner at Aurora Sky Restaurant

Day 8

Visit the Snow Village’s Game of Thrones ice hotel // Grab lunch in Levi village // Go skiing for a few hours at Levi Ski Resort // Private sauna and hot tub experience at Northern Lights house // Dinner at Aurora Sky Restaurant

Day 9

Check out of Levin Iglut // Fly from Kittila airport to Helsinki on Finnair // Check in at Hotel F6 // Dinner at BasBas

Day 10

Check out of Hotel F6 // Catch the afternoon Finnair flight back to New York
