I know, I know - you're probably thinking, "Alyssa, how can you already be talking about your favorite coats for fall when summer isn't really over yet?" Well, to be honest, I am quite excited about this upcoming fall and winter season especially since now that Labor Day has officially passed, plus some of my favorite coats from last year are back in stock AND some are on sale!
Now that summer is winding down, that means cooler temperatures will start to drift in (do you hear that, LA? No more 110 degree days please!) as will rain and snow. Leaves will start to change color and eventually fall off the trees, making that familiar crunch sound as you walk across them on the sidewalk (or jump into a pile like your inner 5-year old wants to do). And I will be enjoying all of these things while holding a venti salted caramel hot cocoa in my hands, since I only like pumpkin in pies and I am allergic to coffee.

The changing seasons also means it's time to bring out my favorite coats for fall and winter. In Los Angeles, we don't really get a true winter season so I was excited to get to visit Germany, Austria, Paris, London, and Iceland last fall and winter. This year, we'll be heading back to Iceland as well as New York and a few other countries as the season goes on. I will definitely be bringing along two of my favorite coats from last year - this tartan one I wore in Austria (see post here) and this white one with faux fur trim that I wore in Iceland (see post here), plus it's on sale!

Aside from my favorite coats for fall and winter from last year, I am also loving this green one and this pink one (they're from the same designer as my red tartan one), I am eyeing this one for Iceland, and there's this faux fur one under $100 as well. I am also loving this cape and this military coat, too. I also plan on wearing this sweater coat during our future travels, as it's not too heavy but provides a great amount of warmth.

Hi Alyssa,
Beautiful coats and the locations look amazing. I love that blush pink Pashmina that you are wearing with the pink checked coat. That shade of pink complements the coat perfectly without taking centre stage as your eye is still drawn to the coat. Could you please tell me where you purchased the Pink Pashmina from? Thanks.
The A List
Hi Ariana! It’s an old coat from last year from Rebecca Minkoff, but here is a similar one! http://shopstyle.it/l/gL2j
Ariana
Thank you!! The coat looks lovely !! May I also ask where the pink pashmina is from? Thank you !! 🙂
Christle
They’re all lovely, but I want the tartan one most of all 🙂 My winter ‘coat’ is really just a bomber jacket from Express, since the Doctor Who jacket I wanted didn’t fit around my stomach. Oh, well, I’ll still look cute as hell on my bike! 🙂 (Especially if I get that tartan one, because I love it, I love red…)
The A List
The tartan one is one of my favorites! And it comes in green now too!
Christle
Just went to check out the green one, it’s lovely! 😀 I wish they also had a blue one, you look amazing in blue!
Alexia
I love the teal coat with the wrap your wearing but can’t find it in the links (maybe I am just blind!). Where did you get it? It’s so pretty!
