My favorite meal of the day is breakfast. And when lunch rolls around and brunch items are offered, I am as happy as can be. But when you offer me breakfast AND brunch in Scandinavian cuisine, my tail wags pretty fast. For breakfast, I indulged in Swedish “Plättar” Pancakes (we all know how much I love pancakes!) and soft-boiled eggs. Swedish pancakes are incredibly thin, certainly not like the ones they serve at IHOP. However, they do not lack in flavor especially when served with fruit, fresh maple syrup, and lingonberry jam. We were also able to squeeze in and enjoy a delicious brunch in The Living Room Restaurant just before we departed The Maidstone Hotel back to Manhattan. For brunch, I enjoyed the Löjrom Toast. Fingers of toasted brioche are served alongside a platter of sour cream, chopped red onions, and Swedish roe (caviar). You adorn the brioche pieces with each topping and it is oh so delicious! I love the pop that caviar makes in your mouth. Oh Scandinavian food, why are you so yummy?

Terrific post however I was wondering if you could write a litte more on this subject?
I’d be very thankful if you could elaborate a little bit further.
Thank you!
