Currently en route to Miami for the Miss Universe pageant! I cannot believe it’s been 3 years since I competed at Miss Universe as Miss USA. My pageant was held in São Paulo, Brazil in September 2011. It was my very first time in South America, and I’ll never forget that feeling of representing my home country on the international stage. Now as a former queen, I enjoy supporting the new contestants and welcoming the new winners into the Miss Universe family.
I am excited about heading down to Miami, especially since it has been quite freezing up here in Toronto. I am treating this quick weekend trip to warmth and sun as a preview to spring. I have my maxi dresses packed and sunscreen ready to go. One maxi dress that I had been eyeing for months was this gorgeous dress by Stone Cold Fox. Normally I feel too shy about my legs and would not dare with a slit so high, but this dress features a hidden button along the slit to open it up or close it a bit. I first noticed this dress not because it was a maxi, although that did play a big factor, but I was first drawn to the buttons on the front which give it a slight military vibe. It’s unlike any other maxi dress in my closet, plus it is super comfortable! I definitely had fun creating my own wind while walking in it and letting the fabric fly a little behind me.

You seem to travel a lot, Alyssa! Doesn’t it wear you out?
Refreshing to actually find a fashion and lifestyle site with good taste. Sexy, stylish,, dynamic and yet elegant. Humble and Hot. Not a pageant follower by any means, I was surprised in my research of the fashionista whom created this. I appreciate a woman who is not only pretty but has.such a sweet blogging tone and a true eye for style. Not just off the rack but actual good taste. I almost never buy what fashion blogger suggest bc it’s usually basic and who doesn’t have it or something like it at a much more tasteful and /or affordable level. Most people just look thru fashion blogs to see what is trendy and such. This dress is exceptional and very chic. Let us see what else you’ve got. Keep it up!
