The past few days have been a bit emotional for me - for personal reasons - so this Arizona trip couldn't have come at a better time. It's been wonderful to be around family and to be some place I have not been to in a long while. I had forgotten how much I loved Arizona and just how breathtaking the landscape is. Growing up in New Jersey and New York City, mountains were foreign to me. So were deserts. So I find myself still fascinated by them. I adore traveling. As tiring as it can be sometimes, the very notion of it always gets me excited. In one week I have been to Canada, California, and Arizona. I have basically lived out of suitcases for the past little while but that doesn't seem to bother me. And yet I still haven't mastered packing or unpacking! This summer remains almost up in the air, but I'm sure it will be filled with more travel. Being back in Arizona is bittersweet. The last time I was here was just a few months before I competed at Miss USA 2011. T and I had been dating just under a year. It was our first trip together somewhere. On this trip we have been revisiting some of the spots throughout Phoenix we first visited four years ago. Crazy how much time flies but not much has changed here. The only thing different about revisiting each spot is that T and I are now in a new place in our lives together. So much has happened in those past four years. It already gives me premonitions of being an old couple looking back on our lives. I hope another four years from now we can look back on where our lives takes us from this point.
