Today, Kate Spade New York launched their newest and latest project - On Purpose. In Masoro, Rwanda, 150 women are being taught how to be profitable suppliers. These artisans are putting together a fabulous collection of jewelry, handbags, totes, and scarves. By working with the Kate Spade New York team, they are helping to provide economic support to their entire community of over 20,000 people! The Kate Spade team's goal is to positively transform the community of Masoro, and if their goals are met, they will head to another city to help positively influence that city's economic growth. As a former Miss USA, I am all about women empowerment. It is so wonderful to see so many women come together and try to make a difference. I admire what Kate Spade New York is doing and I admire what the women in Masoro are doing for their community.
