I hope everyone had a good holiday weekend! T and I have been spending most of our days getting ready to pack and move into our new home, plus we have begun to plan out some of the renovations we will be doing. Of course, we won't be starting them for a while since T has to go film the next season of his show, but it's fun to get a head start on what to expect. I plan on documenting the renovations here, so stay tuned!
The next few weeks are going to be crazy busy. Sometimes it feels good to be busy and other times it feels stressful. But this summer is, so far, shaping up to be what we had expected it would be. I am trying to see as many of my friends here in LA as possible before it's time to go back to Canada for a little bit. It's been super wonderful catching up with so many people. I love hearing about what my friends have been up to. Sometimes when I am abroad in Canada, I feel a little cut off from my friends back home and despite my many visits back, I still feel a bit isolated. But everyone has been excited to meet up and catch up this summer which is precisely what I had been hoping for!
In this post, T and I shot these pictures while on a quick walk around our neighborhood. LA has been weirdly cold, but after coming from frigid Toronto this cold is obviously a lot more bearable and wasn't going to stop me from wearing shorts. It's funny though - I normally HATE shorts. I do not own any pairs at all except for these shorts by Heartloom. When I first wore these shorts, I thought it was a skirt! The shorts are perfectly hidden underneath white lace, giving the illusion of a skirt. Lace shorts are perfect for summer whether for a casual look or for an evening out when paired with a nice blouse.
