Yes, Renly and Daenerys also made the trip to Vancouver with us! It's not Christmas without them!

I love visiting the marina in Steveston (south of Vancouver). It was there where I tried my very first fish and chips in 2010 (I'm from New Jersey... fish and chips were not a part of my childhood)! Steveston is also the town where they film the television show Once Upon A Time. Since I have spent most of this winter in Los Angeles instead of the usual Toronto, I wasn't quite ready or used to cold weather. Even in 45 degrees (Fahrenheit) I felt the need to wear gloves and a headband for my ears. Coat: Chicwish | Boots: Stuart Weitzman | Bag: Kate Spade New York | Gloves: Rag & Bone | Headband: Bickley & Mitchell (old, similar here) [show_shopthepost_widget id="1327164"] It was a great Christmas holiday with T's family (soon to be mine as well!). Looking forward to our next Vancouver trip in the summer! And maybe another earthquake to rattle me (preferably not!)?What a week! This past week was one of the craziest, busiest weeks I’ve had in a little bit – and it was only the first week of 2016! Right after Christmas, T and I had a bunch of wedding related meetings all crammed into one week before he returned to Canada to film the second half of his television show’s latest season. But this past Christmas was such a wonderful one with T’s family.

This year we chose to celebrate the holidays in Vancouver, T’s hometown. T hadn’t been back to his hometown in two years due to his filming schedules, so it was touching getting to bring him back to his roots and spend some time with his family.
I fell in love with Vancouver and British Columbia when I fell in love with T five years ago. The air is so crisp and clear there. I was recovering from the flu when we flew up for Christmas this year, and the fresh air definitely helped to expedite my recovery (I think it also had a lot to do with T’s mom’s delicious home cooked meals and cake!).

Dear Alyssa,
I loved all of your holiday blogs leading up to and on Christmas! I took a lot of your gift idea’s to heart since I have some tough family members to shop for and also what to wear for holiday gatherings. I loved reading about your holiday traditions growing up Italian and Danish! Most of my heritage on my fathers side is Irish, Scotch and French Canadian since his father was adopted from a convent in Quebec ( I guess that is how they did that back then. My mother’s heritage is German some fun traditions from both. Sorry I didn’t mean to ramble but I love sharing holiday traditions!!! Happy 2016..
Happy New Year,
Kathy
I think the picture of you and Torrance hugging is my favorite, you guys look so happy! Steveston must have been a cool place to visit, and Once Upon a Time is one of my favorite shows (besides Reign, of course 🙂 )! I hadn’t heard of Chicwish until a few months ago, but I will definitely have to give it a try because your coat is beautiful!
