Holiday Afternoon Tea With Ritz Carlton and Clé de Peau

Christmastime in Hong Kong is most certainly my favorite time of the year. To be fair, Christmas is my favorite time of the year regardless of where I am in the world, but Hong Kong really does go that extra mile to make it truly magical. Out of all the cities I have lived in around the world, Hong Kong is up at the top of my personal list of the best places for the Christmas season – and it’s a very serious list.

To start off the Christmas season this year, I was invited by Ritz Carlton Hong Kong and Clé de Peau for a special afternoon celebrating the holidays as well as Clé de Peau’s City of Dreamlight collection. I am no stranger to both Ritz Carlton Hong Kong or Clé de Peau, so these two brands coming together for an epic tea collaboration meant for a very easy yes to the invitation.

103 floors up above the busy city streets of Kowloon, we were treated to an elegant afternoon tea at Café 103 for the Frosted City of Dreamlight Afternoon Tea. Even though the entire skyline of Hong Kong is visible from the 103rd floor at the Ritz Carlton Hong Kong, it’s the city of Paris that is the highlight here, with French artist Jean Dalin collaborating on this exquisite collection. Hues of metallic purples and feminine pinks dominate both the beauty collection and the tea set, giving you the sense that you’re enjoying an afternoon treat in France rather than Hong Kong.

I’ve been a Clé de Peau fan for years, having used The Serum as my luxe serum skin care since 2021. The Serum keeps my skin hydrated and radiant, and it’s truly like a little treat for my skin. I also use their Luminizing Face Enhancer in Daybreak Shimmer any time I wear any makeup. It’s my secret to having extra glow on my cheeks. But after getting to speak to the Clé de Peau team and getting to sample The Foundation, I now want to add that to my makeup routine because the glow it gives is the REAL DEAL. It’s sheer and weightless, which I love because I loathe heavy makeup.

The Ritz Carlton at Christmas

This year, in the lobby on the 104th floor, the Ritz Carlton Hong Kong features a life size gingerbread house that you can enter and sit inside. Yes, it is 100% real! It took several days to put together, and I have no idea who gets to eat it when Christmas is over, but it’s a really fun and exciting masterpiece as soon as you enter the glamorous lobby.

After a wonderful afternoon at the Ritz Carlton Hong Kong, we were all treated to an absolutely stunning sunset with a view that just has no comparison from anywhere else in the city. It is the highest hotel in the world, after all. It was a great way to kick off the holiday season.

The Frosted City of Dreamlight Afternoon Tea is available at Café 103 at the Ritz Carlton Hong Kong from now until 5 January.

Thank you to the Ritz Carlton Hong Kong and Clé de Peau for inviting me to this event. All opinions are my own.
