Maje dress, Tibi mules (old, similar here and here), Cult Gaia bag, Illesteva sunglasses, Clinique Almost Lipstick, Jo Malone French Lime Blossom perfume
The French are renowned for their romance, and romance is one term I like to use to describe my style. There's something naturally poetic and romantic that comes out whenever I don the perfect dress. This blue dress by French label Maje caught my eye the moment I saw it. From the eye-catching blue to the buttoned down front to the wrap belt, I felt like myself the minute I put it on. Conveniently enough, one of Disney's most romantic French fairytales, Beauty and the Beast, released their official trailer yesterday (which made me scream and squeal with glee, of course). Of course my dress reminded me so much of Belle, which in turn always reminds me of my childhood and how much I adored these stories as a little girl (and still do). While I am currently abroad in Spain, I cannot help but already be excited for our upcoming trip to France at the start of the new year. It'll be my third visit to the country and second with my husband. I am anxious to see what romantic French tales of my own I will get to tell. Feel free to comment below with any of your favorite spots in France, specifically Paris, that we will have to try out! Photos by Felicia Lasala.I promised I would still be wearing dresses for as long as I could until the weather turned. Even though we are very much in the midst of autumn now, I couldn’t help but bring out one more dress that makes me feel very much like I am in my own French fairytale.

This is such a gorgeous dress! I am in love with the color. I am so glad I’m not the only one not wanting to put away my summery dresses! I’m going to be studying abroad in England January-April, but would love to visit Paris, my parents brought back macarons, and I know there’s a place that sells gold ones so if you haven’t found those, I guess do it!

Hi Alyssa,I saw on the website for the dress the bust looks sheer. Are you wearing a slip or tank top? Have fun in Spain. XOXO Taryn
Hello Taryn! It’s actually more sheer on the website. I am not wearing any slip or tank underneath, just a bra! It’s definitely not see through at the bust.
xoxo,
Alyssa
Oh, I see you already answered this question! 🙂
Thanks! <3

For your trip to Paris, if you never went there I suggest the bookshop ‘Shakespare and Co’ (near the cathedrale Notre Dame) as an history nerd, you should really liked it ! There’s also ‘les arènes de Lutéce’ which is litteraly a piece of history hidden between buildings ! I hope you’ll both enjoy your stay in France !
This dress is amazing! <3 I love it with the shoes, I love it with your skin tone, I love everything about this outfit! <3

Blue Maje Dress.
Hi Alyssa, I’m intsagram follower. I love the blue maje dress because like you said it is perfect fairytale romance. I looked at the dress from the online store and it looks sheer in the chest/torso area. Are you wearing a blue slip under the dress? The dress appears solid in the torso on you.
