When a friend texts me asking if I want to go out to dinner, I rarely ever say no. It gives me a reason to get out and be social and to change into something stylish even if it’s just two of us. That’s exactly what happened the other night.

We went to one of our favorite, casual spots so that didn’t mean we had to dress up too fancy but I still wanted to look chic. I wore two of my latest obsessions – my Vince sweater and my Joie lace up sandals. It’s a casual look but it still looks stylish and put together.
I am completely in love with these lace up Joie sandals. They go perfectly with denim jeans or with a skirt or dress.
I found this Vince side-zip sweater on sale while in New York City two weeks ago. Believe it or not, it’s a size large and I actually prefer it loose as opposed to tight. I can dress it up (like in this post) or I can dress it down. Lately it’s been my favorite top to wear while I travel because it’s so incredibly soft and comfortable.
Sweater: Vince (currently on sale; I’m wearing a size large) | Shoes: Joie | Jeans: Express | Bag: Rebecca Minkoff | Sunglasses: Illesteva

I’m so in love with this outfit; it looks so tough yet chic and comfortable! I really need to get myself a pair of distressed jeans!
Thanks Laura! What’s funny is I used to be so against distressed jeans but this year I found myself embracing them! I only have two pairs – this one and a black one – but I am thinking of adding a third, a white one!
