Natural Skincare

One of the most common questions I get is, "What do you use on your skin?" Constantly traveling, changes in climates, and makeup can definitely affect my skin like it would anyone's, so taking good care of my skin is crucial. Usually I prefer natural or organic skincare since I would obviously prefer it if less harsh chemicals touched my skin. Here I have listed what organic skincare I am currently using these days... [show_shopthepost_widget id="872479"] Cleanser: Nordic Beauty Anti-Aging Cleansing Milk I first heard about Nordic Beauty through Instagram. Maybe I am biased because I am Scandinavian, but it definitely peaked my interest! I read about how they are dedicated to their ingredients being 100% natural and safe for your skin. I tend to have a love/hate relationship with cleansers so I wanted one that felt really good on my skin, and this cleansing milk leaves my skin so soft and smooth and incredibly clean. It also helps me take off any stubborn makeup that didn't come off on my makeup removing wipes. Moisturizer: One Love Organics Skin Savior Balm The name of this moisturizer says it all - it's a skin savior. It's not a creamy moisturizer - it's more of a Vaseline look and texture - but it completely nourishes my skin. I prefer to use this organic balm overnight, and when I wake up in the morning my skin looks so refreshed and perfect I don't want to touch it and ruin it! Serum: Nordic Beauty Healing Serum Another Nordic Beauty product, this serum I tend to use first thing in the morning and really work it into my face so it gets completely absorbed. It is incredibly light which is perfect for my daytime skin routine. It helps prevent future wrinkles and lines and really helps enrich my skin. It's a bit expensive, but a little bit (just 3-4 drops in the morning) go a LONG way. Mask: Soveral Volcano Ash Transformative Mask This organic mask works great as a mask or as a spot treatment on blemishes. It smells heavenly because it has a bit of peppermint in it, which is usually used as an anti-inflammatory - perfect for red, swollen breakouts (as I currently write this post I have a massive zit on my forehead with this mask acting as a spot treatment on it). It also features bentonite, which really helps suck all the dirt out of your pores. Blemish Mask: Aesop Chamomile Concentrate Anti-Blemish Masque Sometimes my blemishes are just really stubborn, and they need a little bit more of a push from a tougher mask to die down. This mask can also be used as a mask or spot treatment. I tend to let this one sit as a spot treatment overnight. It changes color on your skin as it sucks up all the excess oils and dirt (which is actually kind of cool to watch in a weird way!). Now, this mask isn't 100% organic, but I do use it when I really need to fight off some troublesome pimples. Exfoliator: ESTELLE & THILD Lily Micro Scrub I have been a fan of this Swedish organic brand for a while now, and came across this organic scrub while searching for a good organic exfoliator for my face. It's really good to exfoliate dead skin cells off the surface of your face to reveal more youthful, brighter skin underneath. It also, in my experience, helps tighten your skin too which helps to prevent more lines in the future. I use this scrub twice a week. Eye Cream: ESTELLE & THILD Super Bio Active Lifting Eye Serum I have been using this eye cream for about a year now. I've noticed a HUGE difference in my eyes. I naturally have dark circles under my eyes, and this serum (which is exclusive to Net-a-Porter) really helped brighten underneath my eyes. I even suggested this eye cream to one of T's costars and they LOVED it (I knew they would!). Cleansing Wipes: boscia Black Charcoal Cleansing Cloths At first I was a bit hesitant to use cleansing wipes that were dark (yes, these wipes actually are black!) because then I wouldn't be able to see how much dirt and makeup I was wiping off, but these wipes really leave my face feeling super cleansed. Charcoal is known to help pull impurities from deep within your pores, so it's only fitting that a cleansing method would have that feature. This brand is also not 100% organic, but it is free of parabens, sulfates, phthalates, artificial colors (yep, that's actually charcoal that makes the wipes black), and preservatives. Hello Alyssa. I’m trying to start using more natural stuff because my skin is super sensitive.

Thanks for this amazing post. It helps me a lot.

    Xx

Very happy to see some unfamiliar organic and natural products for me to look into! I’ve been using Lemongrass Spa products pretty religiously for about 4 years due to various skin sensitivities but have been craving a little variety lately. Thanks so much for some solid reviews!

  3. Beyond Skin

Some of these products were suggested to me by Beyond Skin. I love the ESTELLE & THILD for eye cream.
