Turning 27 means I am one year closer to 30 (and you can already bet that I've started gathering ideas for a 30th birthday celebration three years from now!). I used to be terrified of that thought, since for some reason I felt like once I turned 30 that I would lose a large part of my youth and so I felt like all the years leading up to it were like a reminder to get certain things done before then. That's not so much the case anymore. I am the youngest amongst my closest friends (they're all in their 30's except for two or three), and not one of them has made me feel like growing older is scary. They're all about living life to the fullest, no matter what your age is. 15, 21, 27, 30, 45... they're all just numbers.

Naturally, to celebrate my birthday, I felt the only appropriate outfit was in a dress. I actually wore this dress to a few events in Los Angeles over the last month, but I always knew it would be the perfect birthday dress. My birthday is first full day of spring, so a floral dress is the perfect look for the occasion.

I have a great feeling that 27 is going to be an outstanding year. Less than 2 weeks from now, I will be celebrating one year of marriage with Tor and I foresee us embarking on even more incredible adventures together. I am putting the rumors to rest right now that we have zero plans to start a family over the next 12 months, but that doesn't mean we haven't talked about the possibility in the future. 27 is still young, and there are so many things I plan on conquering this year before settling down. I cannot wait to see what will happen this year!

Today is my 27th birthday! I cannot believe how fast a year has gone by already. One year ago, when I was turning 26, I was incredibly busy planning the final details for our wedding and preparing for a few months abroad in Europe for our honeymoon and for Tor’s new filming commitments in Spain. Now, as I turn 27 today, I can’t help but reflect on my past year as a 26-year old and anticipate what 27 has in store.
As a 26-year old, I married the love of my life, I finally crossed Spain, Austria, and Iceland off my bucket list, I crossed living in Europe off my bucket list, I got to visit my grandfather’s homeland of Denmark again, and I got to travel to Paris with some of my best friends in the world. I also rebranded and redesigned my site, and with each passing day I feel more and more like the businesswoman I always knew I could be.

I think I am going to have to get this dress, it looks stunning on you! And I definitely don’t blame you about waiting for kids. I’m your age and have 2 kids under the age of 3!
