Parisienne Style

You probably did a double take seeing the title of this blog post. It's no secret I am a huge Anglophile, but that doesn't mean I don't also enjoy Parisienne style trends. I think everyone has a little bit of a Francophile in them, as French culture and French style is so iconic and desirable. C'est la vie, am I right? [gallery link="none" columns="2" size="full" ids="15321,15326"] [gallery link="none" columns="2" size="full" ids="15322,15325"] Alyssa Campanella of The A List evokes Parisienne style in Frilly Hera robe coat   [gallery link="none" columns="2" size="full" ids="15329,15327"]

Frilly coat c/o, Splendid stripe turtleneck, J Brand jeans, Stuart Weitzman boots (less expensive version here), Wool beret, Clare V bag (less expensive version here), NARS Powermatte lipstick in Save The Queen

Parisienne style is one of sophistication, a subtle femininity, and boldness. There's a reason a lot of fashion designers, editors, and even us fashion bloggers feel inspired whenever we see the trends that emerge from French style icons, magazines, or fashion shows. I have only been to Paris twice in my life (I say that because a lot of my fellow fashion blogger friends have been at least 10 times), but even I feel influenced by the city. With my love of royal history, of course the fashions of Marie Antoinette make me drool and sigh with admiration. The one and only Coco Chanel also comes to mind, of course. The French have never been shy when it comes to style, and I try to emulate that sentiment as much as I can through my own style. French women know how to dress for themselves and nobody else, which is something I aspire to do every day. They have their style staples in their closet, each piece clearly defining their sense of style whether it be feminine, tomboy, masculine, or bohemian. All this talk of Parisienne style suddenly has me yearning for a return trip to Paris. Actually, scratch that - France in general. I'd love to see what kind of trends they'll inspire for spring and summer 2018, as I am sure they will be chic. I am hoping to make it back to Paris by the end of the year, and I have a few of my own fashion staples that I would take with me. xoxo,
Alyssa
