These January heels are my modern Mary Janes. I prefer pointed toe shoes, and I also love that even though it's a stiletto heel, the heel is not crazy high making them crazy comfortable to wear all day. Plus the little ties in the front keep it classy and ladylike! Despite the fact that I don't actually drink tea, I still absolutely love the idea of afternoon tea and I do it as often as I can whenever I am in Europe. Since I am allergic to coffee, I substitute my tea with hot chocolate. We opted to try the Shelbourne's "Chocolate Tea", which meant that all the sweets featured some type of chocolate. In the end, it was a perfect afternoon!
[show_shopthepost_widget id="1418252"]Hello from Ireland! It’s been a busy past few weeks between traveling to New York for New York Fashion Week and then on to Toronto, Canada, and now we are in Dublin, Ireland! This is our third year in a row coming to Ireland, and with each visit we find ourselves feeling more and more at home here.

Despite feeling at home right away, we also felt quite jet-lagged right away. We decided to take it easy for our first full day in Ireland with something that I always indulge in when I come to Europe – afternoon tea! We had heard wonderful things about afternoon tea at the Shelbourne Hotel so we decided to try it with one of T’s costars from his show and one of our local friends who lives in Dublin..
Before traveling to Ireland, I stopped in L.K. Bennett’s Madison Avenue store in New York City during Fashion Week. It’s no secret I am a big fan of L.K. Bennett, so when I heard that L.K. Bennett and UK shoe brand Bionda Castana were collaborating on a new collection I knew immediately I had to have my hands on it! It’s official – I am obsessed! Their collection’s stand-out, bright colored patterned shoes are more than perfect for spring.
The shoe that caught my eye right away is their January heel and its blue and white checkered pattern. How cute is that shoe?! It proved to be more than perfect for our first afternoon tea in Ireland!
