By popular request, I'm excited to share some of my current favorite skin care products. As someone who has sensitive skin, I have spent a lot of time doing trial and error with a lot of different products to determining the best routine for sensitive skin care. However, my latest routine happens to have given me some of the best skin I have had in a long time. PS this post is not sponsored at all - I am happy to share my favorites with you!
Now, you're probably sitting there going, "TWELVE products though?! Really, Alyssa??" Well, I don't use all the products at once. I like to switch things up a bit, so in a way my skin doesn't become "immune" to one product.

My skin has also been extra sensitive lately since I went off birth control several months ago (don't get any ideas just yet, guys). I didn't realize how much of an effect birth control had on my skin. I actually took for granted how clear my skin used to be when I was on it. As soon as I went off, I felt like I was back in high school with zits everywhere. It took a second for my skin to calm down and for me to figure out what worked best for it now. After a few months, I discovered the best sensitive skin care products that worked for me.

My favorite face wash is Cetaphil. I've been using it since high school, and it's probably the most gentle cleanser for my skin. However, in the morning I am really bad at washing my face so I use First Aid's Caffeine Matcha Wake Up wipes. To remove makeup at night, I use Say Yes to Cucumbers wipes. I've been using those wipes for several years now and love them.

After cleansing my face, I use Belief Witch Hazel Toner. Witch hazel is good for clearing the skin as well as hydrate it. My skin became a lot drier after going off birth control, so other toners are a bit too aggressive right now. This one is just right.
[gallery link="none" columns="2" size="full" ids="11995,11996"]
My skin care secret weapon as of late has been this Korres Vitamin C Brightening Oil. I actually pretty much swear by this oil. It features real rose petals in the bottle, and it keeps my face bright and smooth. My skin battled uneven skin tone for a while, and this has been my Holy Grail to combat it.
[gallery link="none" columns="2" size="full" ids="12000,12019"]
[gallery link="none" columns="2" size="full" ids="12001,12002"]
Now, I have a plethora of moisturizers on my vanity. Like me, my skin has moody days. Some days, a different moisturizer is better than the other. My go-to day moisturizer is Sisley Paris Ecological Compound. It leaves my skin hydrated but matte, so there's no greasy or oily texture.
[gallery link="none" columns="2" size="full" ids="12008,12007"]
My go-to nighttime moisturizer is Korres 24 Hour Moisturizing and Brightening Cream. It partners well with the Brightening Oil, which I use more at night than during the day anyway. It keeps my skin hydrated overnight, so when I wake up in the morning my skin feels smooth and soft.
[gallery link="none" columns="2" size="full" ids="12009,12010"]
[gallery link="none" columns="2" size="full" ids="12006,12005"]
My other favorite moisturizers are more masks than moisturizers, but I still love them. I mostly use Sisley Paris Black Rose mask on long flights and Bobbi Brown Skin Nourish Mask when my skin is really dry and needs an extra boost.
[gallery link="none" columns="2" size="full" ids="12011,12004"]
I don't use an eye cream as often as I should (note the bags and lines under my eyes), mainly because I tend to have super sensitive reactions to most of them. One eye cream that does agree with my skin is Sisley Paris Eye and Lip Contour Cream. Can you tell I am a fan of Sisley Paris, by the way?
[gallery link="none" columns="2" size="full" ids="12012,12016"]
I break out a lot more often now than I did before thanks to being off birth control, so to zap them overnight, I like to use Glamglow's Supermud mask as a spot treatment, since it contains charcoal and pulls dirt and bacteria out. This is probably my favorite acne treatment of all my sensitive skin care products.
[gallery link="none" columns="2" size="full" ids="12013,12014"]
Two other skin care products that I use are NeuLash Lash Enhancing Serum to help with my eyelash growth (seriously, no need for lash extensions with this!) and Lancer sunscreen. This sunscreen is definitely one of my favorites along with Farmacy Green Screen Sunscreen. Sunscreen is an important part of sensitive skin care routines, since UV protection is a must. Another favorite Farmacy product of mine is their makeup remover Farmacy Green Clean Cleansing Balm. I forgot to include it in my product shots, but that's because it's tucked away in my shower.

Okay, so that's more like 15 products, but my skin has been looking much better than it has in a long time. For about 2 months, I really struggled to find the right products that didn't aggravate my now extra sensitive skin, but I have finally found a routine that seems to work well.
What are some of your favorite skin care products? Do you have any sensitive skin care favorites?

Hello, I love your blog very much. I love you dresses too. i never used any skin care products in my life. I”m from India, so i use only natural. For zits, acne and pimple try sandalwood, we get it here very cheap and very effective. Eyelashes try castor oil and once in a while have a gingerly oil bath. it prevents from skin cancer and other skin diseases, We used to do compulsory rituals during festivals.

It’s been one month now and I am off birth control pills and I am facing the same skin issues. My skin is sensitive and now there is redness &dryness around nose and cheeks area like tiny bumps..
I use clarins day and night cream and clarins detox serum on my skin and Elizabeth Arden city smart sun screen.
Your post is really nice because I can relate it to what’s happening with my skin. I will definitely gonna try some of the products you suggested and will see if it works on my skin.

Have you heard of the Cleanse Off Mitt. It’s like a tanning mitt but for your face. All you need is water and it takes off your makeup and cleanser. I have stopped using wipes for nearly 2 years now and haven’t looked back. My skin is so much better for it.

I love the pristine beauty line. The lady who owns it Blair Kessler has videos about her line. Everything is organic.
I love organic! Great suggestion!
S.W Basics 5 ingredient toner (includes witch hazel) and Kiehl’s Daily Reviving Concentrate are my holy grail skin products.
I use Cetaphil for my sensitive skin too!
Cetaphil is great! And that toner sounds awesome.. I love witch hazel!
Thank you so much for this post Alyssa! I’m still looking for the best products for my skin, so I always try something different. Right now I’m trying a Moisturizing Daily Cream
with Mineral and Vegetal Water of White Tea by Clinians and Acqua Alle Rose Moisturizing Face Cream but, since I am a pharmacy student, I’m currently studying botany and I found out these products I love by “L’erbolario” and I suggest you a Intensive Moisturising Face Cream (http://www.erbolario.com/it/prodotti/crema-viso-idratazione-intensa-nutrire-e-dissetare/), a Peach and Orange Blossom Face Cream (http://www.erbolario.com/it/prodotti/crema-viso-alla-pesca-e-ai-fiori-darancio-pelle-giovane/) and a Face Cream Antioxidant and Compacting (http://www.erbolario.com/it/prodotti/crema-per-il-viso-goji-50-ml/)
Great suggestions, Francesca!
