This past week has most definitely been one of the best weeks of the year so far. Not only did we buy our first house, but it’s just been absolutely wonderful getting to hang out and catch up with friends and there are lots of projects starting to come together with the blog – I can’t wait to share!
First, I just want to thank everyone for all the well wishes from my last post! Thanks for all the comments, tweets, Facebook messages, and Instagram shout outs! We are very excited to make a place our own (no more renting and getting permission from a landlord to paint a room – yay!). We won’t be getting to the renovations right away, but I plan on sharing some home decor ideas and some Before & Afters once we get underway. But that probably won’t be until around the holidays when we are home during T’s winter break from filming. Right now we just want to move in and settle in! But thanks again, everyone!
This post I was particularly excited to post. I have been obsessed with this gorgeous Marissa Webb maxi dress. Not just obsessed but UH-BSESSED. Besides the fact that it is surprisingly flowy (and moves really well in the wind!), I LOVE the buttons all down the front. This gives the dress an option two be worn two ways – on its own or as a top/vest. On its own, I love pairing it with sandals. It is just the perfect length (I love my maxi dresses long, but white ones I prefer not to touch the ground so they do not get dirty). But I also LOVED the way this dress moved when I wore it with my flare jeans with it half unbuttoned. The 70’s style is making a big comeback this summer, and when I paired it with flare jeans and wore the dress more as a top I definitely got a 70’s vibe and it was totally groovy!
